An advisory notice released by the United States Office of Government Ethics last week states that the de minimis exemption \u2014 which allows for the owners of securities who hold an amount below a certain threshold to work on policy related to that security \u2014 is universally inapplicable when it comes to cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the note specifies, even holding a mere $100 of a certain stablecoin should prevent a civil servant from participating in drafting regulation \u201cuntil and unless they divest their interests in [that] stablecoin.\u201d Stablecoins are not an exception \u2014 the same goes for any kind of cryptocurrency. <\/p>\n<p>The only exemption will be made for policymakers who hold up to $50,000 in mutual funds that invest broadly in companies that would benefit from crypto and blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>. The reasoning for this exemption is that they \u201care considered diversified funds.\u201d <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intercontinental_joint_action_on_Terra\"><\/span>Intercontinental joint action on Terra<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>South Korea and the U.S. have reportedly agreed to share their latest investigation data around Terra, the $40 billion ecosystem crash which is under investigation in both countries. Beijing\u2019s Chaoyang District People\u2019s Court even had to deliver a judgment that stablecoins like USDT cannot be used for salary payments.
