Every great company, from Amazon to Meta to Tesla, found ways to retain their founding energy in conjunction with <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate controls, even as they scaled to be much larger than Coinbase is today.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As part of the focus on efficiency, Armstrong stated the firm is \u201cexperimenting with banning slide decks in product engineering reviews\u201d to speed up the product development process. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cInside growing companies, there\u2019s a danger that product and engineering teams start shipping great slide decks instead of great products,&#8221; said Armstrong.<\/p>\n<p>Slide decks are essentially a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of slides used for visual representation when presenting ideas. They are very popular ways to communicate big ideas but have a reputation for frequently not being realized. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut our customers never see the slide decks we create. They only see the product.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Armstrong says that he wants his employees to instead show realistic previews of how the products work in real-time using dashboards with metrics, product mockups, and the actual product itself. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe important thing is to get hands-on with the product, see what the customer is seeing (or is about to see), and make it better,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>The crypto exchange boss says he also wants to scrap internal meetings amongst its product and engineering teams, as Armstrong said they often get bogged down with \u201cendless meetings around prioritization and feature requests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The firm will instead be moving to a model where all product and engineering teams will publish APIs under an internal API catalog that will provide \u201cconsistent libraries and languages for authentication, logging, instrumentation, etc.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Such a feature will help different teams benefit from each other\u2019s work \u201cwithout ever needing to schedule a meeting.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, they need to productize their services and allow other teams to use them in a self-service way,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Risk profile of crypto markets similar to oil and tech: Coinbase<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Armstrong also outlined that the company will be organizing its teams into \u201csmall pods\u201d of 10 or fewer people who will be assigned to a specific feature or area, give more decision powers to directly responsible individuals (DRIs) and provide information sharing services between product teams. <\/p>\n<p>This year, Coinbase launched an NFT marketplace, an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinbase.com\/making-web3-more-accessible-and-intuitive-meet-the-new-coinbase-wallet-mobile-app-6a29b6a71896?source=collection_home---4------3-----------------------\">upgraded<\/a> mobile wallet app, expanding staking offerings to Solana (SOL) and also has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinbase.com\/coinbase-derivatives-exchange-to-make-nano-bitcoin-futures-available-through-leading-brokers-8df2582325da\">plans<\/a> to offer futures trading to its clients if its application to operate as a futures commission merchant (FCM) is approved. <\/p>\n<p>The price of Coinbase\u2019s stock COIN has seen a challenging year however, crashing 78.21% since the start of 2022 to sit at $54.24 at the time of writing, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/chart\/?symbol=NASDAQ%3ACOIN\">data<\/a> from TradingView.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
