In fact, many of them even use recycled water, which is vital if you live in a drought-prone area. They also help avoid the risk of cleaning products damaging gardens or lawns when cars are washed at home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_only_challenge_of_vehicle_automation\"><\/span><strong>The only challenge of vehicle automation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This issue came up in several electric vehicle owner forums. Many drivers shared the challenge of their car <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kiaevforums.com\/threads\/issue-in-an-automated-car-wash.2804\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">going directly into park<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> once they got out of the vehicle. Once activated on the dashboard, the vehicle automatically<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> raises the windows, locks the charging port, deactivates the windshield wipers, pulls in the rear-view wipers, and also locks the trunk and frunk.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Best_practices_for_using_an_automated_car_wash_to_clean_your_EV\"><\/span><strong>Best practices for using an automated car wash to clean your EV<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While using a car wash to clean an EV is perfectly safe, there are <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> tips you should always follow:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always read the manufacturer\u2019s recommendations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talk to other EV car owners in your area. They are most likely to recommend car washes with experience cleaning EVs. Many car owners recommend using a touch-free wash to avoid the risk of scratches on the exterior.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure your car is charged. EVs undergo rigorous testing before they leave the factory, including a <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/living-smarter.com\/can-an-ev-go-through-a-carwash\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">soak test<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further, the electrical components are carefully sealed to prevent water penetration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are most likely to be injured if you get out of your vehicle while the car is moving inside the car wash tunnel. So don\u2019t do that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the future, our cars will be able to detect when they need washing and drive themselves to the car wash and get a robot to clean them. This will be achieved using methods that not only protect the paintwork but also maintain the health of the cameras and LiDAR attached to the cars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For now, many manufacturers recommend either hand wash for <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.rockrobotic.com\/lidar-sensor-cleaning\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cleaning LIDAR<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, radar, cameras, or more high-tech<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/airsquared.com\/markets\/future-transportation\/autonomous-vehicle-sensor-cleaning\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> solutions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 But until a universal best practice is declared, it\u2019s better to hold off.\u00a0<\/span>\n                        <\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
