On the page, Kamala is an Inhuman whose powers manifest when being exposed to the Terrigen Mist. Kamala can stretch her body to great lengths in a similar fashion to Mr. Fantastic, and can also grow in size and stature when uttering the word &#8220;embiggen.&#8221; While Kamala in the <em>Ms. Marvel<\/em> Disney+ series showcased some stretching powers, her elongated limbs were created out of energy from the bangle of her great-grandmother Aisha. When looking further at Kamala&#8217;s DNA, he learned that something wasn&#8217;t quite right. As Bruno puts it, Kamala has some kind of &#8220;mutation&#8221;, a word which carried with it the iconic guitar riff of the 1990s <em>X-Men<\/em> animated series when it was said in the episode. This reveal seemingly means Kamala Khan is the first official mutant in the main MCU universe, a distinction that came <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marvel.com\/articles\/tv-shows\/ms-marvel-kamala-khan-genetics-interview\">as a shock<\/a> to Ms. Marvel herself Iman Vellani:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8220;They sent me, and only me, the draft [of the final episode], and I im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely freaked out. Patrick Stewart returned to the role he played throughout multiple <em>X-Men<\/em> films, but it was a version that existed outside the MCU&#8217;s Earth-616 universe. While Earth-838 may have had mutants, that concept had yet to be introduced to the world of The Avengers until now. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have both been parts of the MCU, but their powers came from the Mind Stone as opposed to having a mutant gene. Agatha Harkness mentions in <em>WandaVision<\/em> that the stone unlocked something that was deep inside Wanda, and while that may end up being the mutant gene somewhere down the line, the implication, for now, is that Wanda possessed the power of the Scarlet Witch all along.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #3! --><br \/>\nNow that the MCU&#8217;s version of Kamala has been revealed to be a mutant, it&#8217;s only a matter of time before more of her kind make their way into future Marvel projects. More details about the upcoming slate for Marvel Studios will be revealed this month at San Diego Comic-Con, as well as in September at D23, and either presentation could include more information about what Feige and company are planning for the further integration of mutants. Since Kamala will be back next summer in <em>The Marvels<\/em>, that film may also play into the burgeoning mutant storyline that Marvel is starting to lay the seeds for.
