Yet another anonymously sourced report claims the long-running federal probe into Hunter Biden has reached a \u201ccritical stage\u201d as prosecutors decide whether to charge the president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n<p>This time the breathless story <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/07\/20\/politics\/hunter-biden-investigation-critical-juncture\/index.html\">came from CNN<\/a>. In March, it was The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/16\/us\/politics\/hunter-biden-tax-bill-investigation.html\">New York Times<\/a> and The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/04\/03\/hunter-biden-story-is-an-opportunity-reckoning\/\">Washington Post<\/a> insisting the probe over taxes, lobbying and other potential crimes was <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaching the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>Sooner or later, somebody\u2019s scoop will be true and the case actually will conclude. But count me skeptical that the ending will be worth the wait.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because I don\u2019t believe there is a snowball\u2019s chance in hell that Hunter Biden will face serious criminal charges. You\u2019ve heard of too big to fail? The president\u2019s son is too big to indict.<\/p>\n<p>Although the probe, said to have started in 2018, is being conducted by the United States attorney in Delaware, Justice Department policies require approval from headquarters before charges can be filed in politically sensitive cases.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Merrick_too_close_to_Joe\"><\/span>Merrick too close to Joe<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>That puts the ball in Merrick Garland\u2019s lap and I don\u2019t think the attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> has the stomach to approve an indictment of the son of the man who appointed him, especially when the Biden administration already is drowning and Democrats face a midterm shellacking.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that Garland proved he is the consummate team player by siccing the FBI on parents who complained at school-board meetings. Indictments should have been brought when you first started calling witnesses and close thereto, that\u2019s standard.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>But protecting Hunter Biden is not the only reason Garland won\u2019t follow the money or standard procedure. The AG knows that, ultimately, all roads lead to the father and that an honest, thorough probe of whether Hunter broke any laws beyond taxes and lobbying rules inevitably raises the same question about the president.<\/p>\n<p>We know this to be true because Hunter\u2019s foreign paymasters \u2014 government officials, cronies and oligarchs in China, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia, Romania and other countries \u2014 weren\u2019t paying him for the pleasure of his company or his expertise on energy, of which he had none.<\/p>\n<p>The only possible explanation is that Hunter and Joe\u2019s brother, Jim Biden, sold access to Joe Biden. Their last name is the reason they got paid tens of millions of dollars.<br \/>That pattern leaves three other hurdles Garland would have to consider before digging for the whole truth.<\/p>\n<p>First, what benefits did Hunter and Jim Biden\u2019s clients get in return for their enormous piles of cash?<\/p>\n<p>Second, what role did Joe Biden play in helping those foreign clients?<\/p>\n<p>Third, did any of the foreign money find its way to Joe\u2019s bank accounts? Was the \u201cbig guy\u201d getting a secret cut all along?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rampant_WH_dishonesty\"><\/span>Rampant WH dishonesty<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The president\u2019s conduct reinforces the importance of the questions. He has lied repeatedly by saying he never \u2014 Never! \u2014 discussed Hunter\u2019s foreign businesses with him. For example, Tony Bobulinski, briefly the CEO of a joint venture involving Hunter and Jim Biden and a Chinese energy tycoon, says he met with Joe Biden in May 2017 and discussed the company\u2019s prospects.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Just months after leaving office as the vice president, Joe knew all about the plan that had been developed during 2015 and 2016, said Bobulinski, who told this to the FBI in 2020.<br \/>Not incidentally, the Chinese partners in that venture paid the Bidens $11 million for work they did while Joe was vice president. You can bet Chinese President Xi Jinping knows exactly what the Bidens did in exchange for that pile of cash, which raises suspicions that Joe Biden is compromised.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the treasure trove of emails and photos The Post found on the laptop, we also know Joe often met with his son\u2019s other foreign partners.<\/p>\n<p>And just last week, The Post reported that Hunter Biden \u201cmet with his father at least 30 times at the White House or the vice president\u2019s residence, often just days after he returned home from overseas business jaunts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The meetings suggest Hunter was relaying messages from the foreigners to his father and\/or seeking help and advice on completing deals. He lies about never having conversations because he can\u2019t honestly answer any follow-up questions.<\/p>\n<p>All of which is why Hunter will not face serious charges. The can of worms implicating the president must remain closed.<\/p>\n<p>My bet is that a plea agreement will be struck, with Hunter admitting guilt to reduced charges. The Times reported he already paid $1\u2009million in back taxes, with the aim of forestalling evasion charges. Other outlets say it was $2 million.<\/p>\n<p>An even more lenient civil settlement is also possible, with the Times reporting that idea was under consideration.<\/p>\n<p>While there are obvious differences between a criminal plea agreement and a civil settlement, the result could be similar in that the books would be closed and evidence sealed by a complicit Justice Department.<\/p>\n<p>So don\u2019t be surprised to learn one day soon the Hunter Biden case has been settled. Just don\u2019t expect to learn anything about the most important detail \u2014 the role of the father. That\u2019s the Holy Grail of the Biden family business.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_bail_fail_to_Gov_Lee\"><\/span>From bail fail to Gov.
