The more expensive 256 GB model is also going up by $101, from $399.00 to $499.99. Most of the global economy is suffering from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/07\/25\/1112915507\/inflation-rural-america-gas-prices-economy\">high levels of inflation<\/a> right now, which affects everything from clothing to electronic component prices. It likely costs more money for Meta to build a Quest 2 right now than it did a year ago. Given the initial low price, Meta wasn\u2019t making much money at the original $299 price, and the company might even be losing money on each sale to encourage future <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> purchases \u2014 a common strategy for game consoles.<\/p>\n<p>Meta also might also just want to raise prices for the sake of making more money. The company\u2019s revenue was down in the first quarter of 2021, as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/2\/2\/22914970\/facebook-app-loses-daily-users-first-time-earnings\">Facebook continues to lose users<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le\u2019s privacy changes <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/02\/02\/facebook-says-apple-ios-privacy-change-will-cost-10-billion-this-year.html\">caused the company to lose an estimated $10 billion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>No matter what the reasons are, the most affordable way to get into VR is about to get more expensive. The Quest 2 might return to $300 in future sales, but if you\u2019ve had your eye on one, now is probably the time to grab the headset.
