Then, after the Yankees\u2019 3-2 loss to the Mets, they traded for left-handed hitting outfielder Andrew Benintendi from the Royals, further clouding Gallo\u2019s future in The Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>Gallo did not start in either of the Subway <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Series<\/a> games against the Mets, but after he struck out as a pinch hitter against Edwin Diaz in Tuesday\u2019s loss, manager Aaron Boone left him on the bench for a potential pinch-hit spot in the ninth inning of a tie game Wednesday. There\u2019s no question in my mind that there\u2019s still great baseball ahead for him, whether that\u2019s im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely or in the years to come, and that he is really talented and really cares and works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This season, Gallo is batting .161 with an 80 OPS-plus (20 percent below league average), 40 walks and 103 strikeouts in 80 games.<\/p>\n<p>In 138 games as a Yankee, Gallo was batting .160 with 25 home runs, an 86 OPS-plus, 77 walks and 191 strikeouts. Nearly a full year since coming over in a trade from the Rangers \u2014 Friday will mark the one-year anniversary of the deal \u2014 Gallo could be on the way out before Tuesday\u2019s trade deadline, especially with Benintendi on the way in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think he\u2019s born the brunt of struggling here a little bit,\u201d said Boone, who also cited some mechanical work that hasn\u2019t yet clicked for Gallo. \u201cI think he\u2019s worn that and carried that burden. As human beings, you want to do well and perform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I try to remind him every now and then, though, he has all the equipment to still be great at this. He\u2019s at an age (28) where he can still be great at this. Reggie Jackson used to always say to me, \u2018You own the pen.\u2019 He still gets to write the final <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> or add to the story.
