We chose prices that are lower than some and on par with others,\u201d Landau said in a statement to\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/26\/your-money\/bruce-springsteen-tickets.html\">The New York Times.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegardless of the commentary about a modest number of tickets costing $1,000 or more, our true average ticket price has been in the mid-$200 range. I believe that in today\u2019s environment, that is a fair price to see someone universally regarded as among the very greatest artists of his generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His manager\u2019s comments come on the heels of fans getting sticker shock last week when attempting to purchase concert tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band\u2019s highly anticipated 2023 tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fans were stunned by\u00a0Springsteen\u2019s tour costs, as seats skyrocketed to $4,000 due to Ticketmaster\u2019s \u201cdynamic pricing program,\u201d which raises prices based on demand.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/bruce-springsteen-tickets.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Bruce Springsteen performs onstage.\" class=\"wp-image-23243359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/bruce-springsteen-tickets.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/bruce-springsteen-tickets.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/bruce-springsteen-tickets.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band\u2019s 2023 tour went on sale on July 20.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for The Rainforest<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ticketmaster addressed the pricing backlash to Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPromoters and artist representatives set pricing strategy and price range parameters on all tickets, including dynamic and fixed price points. Ticketmaster has created analytical tools that use historical and real time data to help quantify supply and demand to determine prices,\u201d a spokesperson from Ticketmaster explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile people may have had a very different impression, overall 18% of Springsteen\u2019s U.S. tour tickets sold for under $99, and only 1% of tickets sold for more than $1,000.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Springsteen himself has not responded to the backlash from fans regarding the costly concert tickets. However, Steven Van Zandt, the E Street Band guitarist and\u00a0\u201cSopranos\u201d alum, took to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>\u00a0to comment on the pricing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I have nothing whatsoever to do with the price of tickets. Bubkis\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Springsteen and the E Street Band are scheduled to go on tour in 2023, and tickets went on sale July 20.<\/p>\n<p>The Boss\u2019 U.S. tour begins Feb. 1 in Tampa, Florida, and ends at the\u00a0Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on April 14.
