The company\u2019s shares were up 1% in midday trading on Friday at $41.45.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/elon-musk-twitter-3.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Elon Musk\" class=\"wp-image-23256496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/elon-musk-twitter-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/elon-musk-twitter-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/elon-musk-twitter-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Elon Musk blamed Twitter for breaching the merger agreement by misrepresenting the number of fake accounts on its platform. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AFP via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>McCormick fast-tracked the case to trial last week, saying she wanted to limit the potential harm to\u00a0Twitter\u00a0caused by the uncertainty of the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter\u00a0has blamed the court fight for slumping revenue and causing chaos within the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two sides had basically agreed to an Oct. 17 trial, but were at odds over the limits of discovery, or access to internal documents and other evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Musk\u00a0accused\u00a0Twitter\u00a0this week of dragging its feet in response to his discovery requests, and\u00a0Twitter\u00a0accused him of seeking huge amounts of data that are irrelevant to the main issue in the case: whether\u00a0Musk\u00a0had violated the deal contract.<\/p>\n<p>The chief judge in her order <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to anticipate discovery disputes to come.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis order does not resolve any specific discovery disputes, including the propriety of any requests for large data sets,\u201d said McCormick.<\/p>\n<p>Musk\u00a0also faces a weeklong trial in Wilmington, Del., beginning Oct. 24.
