the United States to show drivers fare value and routes before accepting rides, part of its efforts to bring on more drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Uber\u00a0is expected to announce its second-quarter earnings on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the ride services company said its driver base was at a post-pandemic high.\u00a0It had faced\u00a0criticism about its treatment of those behind the steering wheels of\u00a0Uber\u00a0vehicles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were focused sometimes more on building autonomous cars than focusing on our real drivers, and our drivers ultimately are just not replaceable,\u201d Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi said at a driver event on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The feature, which the company started testing in February and will be expanding in close to 30 areas in August, allows drivers to see how much they will earn and the pick up and drop off locations\u00a0of their passengers before accepting a ride.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image class=\"credit\">REUTERS<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Matt Hughes, who has been driving with\u00a0Uber\u00a0since 2016, said he wanted to make sure he was getting a good fare before he accepted a passenger. \u201cIt\u2019s got to make it worth your time, so the upfront pricing is key information,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Uber\u00a0said it is also rolling out systems, in the same cities as the \u201cUpfront Fares\u201d feature, to let drivers choose from a list of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>s, and\u00a0to get recaps of\u00a0weekly earnings, including\u00a0Uber\u2019s cut from completed trips.<\/p>\n<p>To lessen the impact of higher gas prices, the company introduced a new debit card that will\u00a0give\u00a0drivers\u00a0up to\u00a07% cash back on gas depending on their loyalty status.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company said it will also re-introduce the\u00a0Uber\u00a0Pro driver rewards program with new features in November that will allow drivers to choose the areas they operate.\n
