song lyric on new album <i>Renaissance<\/i> after some fans complained it features an ableist slur. In a move that echoes a similar incident involving Lizzo last month, Beyonc\u00e9&#8217;s team have confirmed to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/music\/news\/beyonce-remove-renaissance-lyric-ableist-offensive-1235330581\/\">Variety<\/a> that the line \u201cSpazzin\u2019 on that ass, spazz on that ass\u201d from &#8220;Heated&#8221; will be replaced. <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            \u201cThe word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced,\u201d a statement provided to the publication by Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s team reads.<\/p>\n<p>            In an op-ed written for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hireup.com.au\/news\/six-weeks-on-from-lizzo-changing-her-lyrics-beyonce-drops-the-same-ableist-slur\/\">Hireup<\/a>, writer Hannah Diviney said that hearing the offending word on <i>Renaissance<\/i>, derived from &#8220;spastic&#8221; and used commonly as an insult in British and Australian culture, left her &#8220;rendered speechless by ignorance, sadness and a simmering anger born of bone-deep exhaustion.&#8221; Diviney was among the first to call out Lizzo for use of the same term on her song &#8220;Grrrls.&#8221; <\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            In addition to the lyrics on &#8220;Heated,&#8221; Beyonc\u00e9 has also faced criticism from Kelis over her decision to interpolate part of her song &#8220;Milkshake&#8221; on <i>Renaissance<\/i>.
