The first season of 10 episodes finished airing in June.<\/p>\n<p>An anthology drama <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, <em>The First Lady<\/em> TV show stars Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Gillian Anderson, O. T. Fagbenle, Dakota Fanning, Lily Rabe, Regina Taylor, Kiefer Sutherland, and Aaron Eckhart. The series tells the story of American leadership, as told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House. In the government\u2019s East Wing, many of history\u2019s most impactful and world-changing decisions have been hidden from view, made by America\u2019s charismatic, complex and dynamic First Ladies. The first season tells the stories of former first ladies Michelle Obama (Davis), Betty Ford (Pfeiffer), and Eleanor Roosevelt (Anderson)<em>.<\/em> <span id=\"more-131524\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Airing on Sunday nights, the first season of <em>The First Lady<\/em> averaged a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 229,000 viewers in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don\u2019t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel.\u00a0Despite an all-star cast, the show\u2019s ratings and reviews were lackluster.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/08\/the-first-lady-canceled-no-season-2-showtime-anthology-series-viola-davis-1235082656\/\">Deadline<\/a> first reported the cancellation and the cable channel\u2019s statement: \u201cShowtime can confirm that the anthology series <em>The First Lady<\/em> will not be moving forward with another season. We would like to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>laud the artistry and commitment of our showrunner Cathy Schulman, director Susanne Bier, their fellow executive producers, our amazing cast \u2014 led by executive producer Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Gillian Anderson \u2014 and our studio partner Lionsgate for their dedicated work in telling the unique stories of three remarkable leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At February\u2019s Television Critics Association press tour, the show\u2019s creative team said future seasons could have tackled the lives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Hillary Clinton, Dolly Madison, Edith Wilson, Martha Washington, Rosalynn Carter, and Melania Trump.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"#comments\">What do you think?<\/a> Did you enjoy watching <em>The First Lady<\/em> TV series on Showtime?
