It feels strange,\u201d McCurdy wrote about an audition in which she was asked to cry on demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has never h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened before, but it\u2019s happening now and it\u2019s scaring me. A part of me is resisting my mind forcing this emotional trauma on itself. A part of me is saying, \u2018No. It\u2019s too painful. I\u2019m not doing this,\u2019 \u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cThat part of me is foolish. That part of me doesn\u2019t realize that this is my Special Skill, that this is good for me, for my family, for Mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the audition didn\u2019t go as she wanted, the young actress tried to tell her mom how she felt, admitting that she didn\u2019t want to act anymore.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Her mom reportedly freaked out, and guilted her into not quitting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe bangs on the steering wheel, accidentally hitting the horn. Mascara trickles down her cheeks. She\u2019s hysterical, like I was in the\u00a0\u2018Hollywood Homicide\u2019 audition. She squeezes me. I\u2019m elated. Everything\u2019s going to be different now. Everything\u2019s going to be better. Mom will finally be happy. Her dream has come true,\u201d McCurdy penned.<\/p>\n<p>The book further documents McCurdy\u2019s issues with eating disorders, addiction and unhealthy relationships, and how those issues worsened after her mom died of cancer in 2013, around the time she went on to star in the \u201ciCarly\u201d spinoff \u201cSam &amp; Cat,\u201d alongside pop superstar Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n<p>McCurdy has previously admitted to being \u201cashamed\u201d of such roles in an episode of the \u201cEmpty Inside\u201d podcast that she hosts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did the shows that I was on from like 13 to 21, and by 15, I was already embarrassed,\u201d McCurdy recalled in early 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ciCarly\u201d ran on Nickelodeon from September 2007 to November 2012, and has since been rebooted on Paramount+.<\/p>\n<p>Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress have all reprised their original roles in the revival, but McCurdy didn\u2019t join her former castmates. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m Glad My Mom Died\u201d will be available where books are sold starting Aug. 9.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
