His co-pilot jumped out of the aircraft. He literally just said, \u2018My pilot just jumped out.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The recording captured the FAA employees frantically trying to figure out what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened to Crooks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI guess at this point in time, all we can do is recovery,\u201d an FAA controller told a dispatcher. \u201cI don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know. This is the craziest thing ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wake County Emergency Management officials told WRAL the initial 911 call was received at 2:30 p.m. Friday. He was discharged later that day.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Crooks\u2019 father, Hew Crooks, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/23-year-old-pilot-who-fell-from-plane-died-while-pursing-his-dream-of-flying-his-father-says\/20396343\/\">previously told WRAL<\/a> he had no idea what happened during his son\u2019s final moments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t process it right now,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Devin Lynch, a friend of Crooks, said the incident doesn\u2019t match what he knew about the late pilot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known Charles for three years,\u201d Lynch told WRAL. \u201cHe was a pilot from the day I met him. I\u2019ve flown with him a few times, and I can tell you firsthand what kind of pilot he was. He followed every rule to the letter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lynch said he\u2019d like to hear what the cockpit voice recorders picked up at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would be interested in hearing the CVR recording because I\u2019d like to hear what was going on in the cockpit that wasn\u2019t being communicated to air traffic control,\u201d Lynch said.<\/p>\n<p>The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the ongoing investigation.
