The four-time NBA champion has remained quiet about his plans. <\/p>\n<p>Last month, ESPN\u2019s Brian Windhorst pointed out that Cleveland will have enough cap space to pursue James to pair him with a young core that went 44-38 last season. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have this growing young team. He returned to Cleveland in 2014, and led them to the franchise\u2019s first championship in 2016. <\/p>\n<p>In February,<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theathletic.com\/3138844\/2022\/02\/19\/could-lebron-james-return-to-cleveland-again-the-doors-not-closed-on-that-he-says\/\"> James said \u201cthe door\u2019s not closed on that,\u201d<\/a> while discussing a possible return to Cleveland for a third time in his career. James was also in high spirits at the time, being back in his hometown and embraced by fans during NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not saying I\u2019m coming back and playing, I don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know what my future holds.
