Now, Microsoft Teams has officially joined the party.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft revealed in a blog post today, \u201cwe are rolling out a production grade universal binary version of Teams, which means it will run natively on the entire Mac lineup, including those with Apple silicon. For Mac users, this means a significant boost in performance, ensuring efficient use of device resources and an optimized Teams experience even when using multiple high-resolution monitors during calls or meetings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The latest Mac computers with Apple\u2019s own Silicon chipsets, like the new\u00a0M2 MacBook Air\u00a0or\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/imac-24\/\">24-inch iMac<\/a>, are still compatible with software created for older Intel-based Macs using the \u2018Rosetta 2\u2019 compatibility layer. Recently,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.xda-developers.com\/microsoft-onedrive-m1\/\">OneDrive was updated for Apple Silicon<\/a>\u00a0in February,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2022\/04\/13\/adobe-after-effects-native-m1-support\/\">Adobe made a native version of After Effects in April<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2022\/03\/22\/discord-native-apple-silicon-support\/\">Discord was upgraded<\/a>\u00a0in March, and ExpressVPN was just updated\u00a0yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Microsoft only has a few applications and services yet that aren\u2019t updated for Apple Silicon.
