Simmons). Filming on the movie had been completed and was in post-production when Warner Bros. Discovery decided to pull the plug on the project on Tuesday, August 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the heels of the recent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> about our movie <em>Batgirl<\/em>, I am proud of the love, hard work and intention all of our incredible cast and tireless crew put into this film over 7 months in Scotland,\u201d Grace wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, August 3. \u201cI feel blessed to have worked among absolute greats and forged relationships for a lifetime in the process!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cTo every Batgirl fan \u2014 THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cape and become, as Babs said best, \u2018my own damn hero!\u2019 #Batgirl for life!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cg0a7lhrtoL\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Batgirl<\/em>\u2018s cancelation comes as WBD looks to slash $3 billion from its budget. Many Warner projects have been axed in recent months alongside several staff member layoffs. The company is scheduled to release its financial report later today (Thursday, August 4), which is expected to include further layoffs and plans for the direction of the business moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe decision to not release <em>Batgirl<\/em> reflects our leadership\u2019s strategic shift as it relates to the DC universe and HBO Max,\u201d a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement, adding that Grace is \u201can incredibly talented actor and this decision is not a reflection of her performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Grace and Simmons, the film was also set to star Brendan Fraser as the villain Firefly and Michael Keaton reprising his role as Bruce Wayne (aka Batman).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
