Twitter sued him four days later.<\/p>\n<p>The company accused\u00a0Musk\u00a0of sabotaging the deal because it no longer served his interests, and casting a pall that disrupted its work and hurt shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>An Oct. 17 trial is scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Twitter issued dozens of subpoenas to banks, investors and law firms that backed\u00a0Musk\u2019s takeover bid, while\u00a0Musk\u00a0issued subpoenas to Twitter\u2019s advisers at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan over their work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Legal experts have said Twitter\u2019s requests suggested the company wanted to know why\u00a0Musk\u00a0turned against it, or whether he reneged on his obligation to obtain sufficient financing.<\/p>\n<p>A representative for\u00a0Musk\u00a0did not immediately respond to a request for comment.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
