Uniswap V3, the third version of the DEX has done $793.8 billion in volume over the past 24 hours, putting it on par with centralized exchanges (CEXs) Huobi Global and KuCoin <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/exchanges\">according<\/a> to CoinGecko.<\/p>\n<p>Uniswap founder Hayden Adams <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/haydenzadams\/status\/1555214922908319744\">proclaimed<\/a> in an Aug. 4 tweet that he was \u201cSooo excited about this proposal.\u201d Adams seemed confident that the proposal would pass when he added, \u201cAfter this passes, the Foundation will be yet another team working towards a future where the Protocol does not just survive \u2014 it thrives!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">5\/ The strength of an ecosystem grows with each additional team building and working towards its success.<\/p>\n<p>Imo, after this passes, the Foundation will be yet another team working towards a future where the Protocol does not just survive \u2014 it thrives!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 hayden.eth  (@haydenzadams) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/haydenzadams\/status\/1555214927933104128?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 4, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Although the proposal has so far enjoyed a fair amount of support from Adams and others in the Uniswap community, it has run into a significant cohort of detractors who say the price is far too high.<\/p>\n<p>Partner at Cinneamhain Ventures Adam Cochran shared his <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roval for the goals of the UF, but added in an Aug. 4 tweet that the $60 million for the UGP \u201cis misguided at this phase.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">1\/17<\/p>\n<p>So I don&#8217;t mind the proposal to create a Uniswap Foundation &#8211; and I think its got decent planning.<\/p>\n<p>But $60M to UGP is misguided at this phase.<\/p>\n<p>Uni Grants Program has thus far deployed ~$7M in grants so and its frankly been underwhelming.<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ri3VNOBh6c\">https:\/\/t.co\/Ri3VNOBh6c<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth) (@adamscochran) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/adamscochran\/status\/1555243584521216000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 4, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Cochran pointed out that the $7 million in grants that the current UGP has already issued have been spent on \u201cunderwhelming\u201d issues. He concluded that while there have been several worthwhil ventures the UGP has invested in, \u201cI don&#8217;t think the current performance merits &#8220;Give us $60M + $14M to run it for 3 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Aave DAO approving overcollateralized stablecoin splits crypto community<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Co-creator of decentralized <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> Dark Forest Scott Sunarto also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/smsunarto\/status\/1555314184530759681\">felt<\/a> that the UF\u2019s goals were in line with the protocol\u2019s potential for growth, but that there was too much \u201cfluff\u201d in the proposal.
