Discovery CEO and president of global streaming and interactive, JB Perrette, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/digital\/news\/hbo-max-discovery-plus-merger-2023-1235333314\/\">shared the news along with a timeline for the merger<\/a> during the company&#8217;s Q2 earnings call Thursday, per Variety.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> broke earlier this week that the company would be pulling two nearly-complete films\u2014DC&#8217;s <em>Batgirl <\/em>and the animated <em>Scoob! CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels gave a broad sketch of a strategy to combine the two back in March, originally intending to sell the pair as a bundle. Discovery aims to cut churn\u2014that is, the number of subscribers canceling their services\u2014something all streamers are struggling to fight. In a Digital Media Trends report from Deloitte earlier this year, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.protocol.com\/entertainment\/netflix-churn-subscription-services\">37% of U.S. consumers reported canceling<\/a> a paid streaming video service over six months.<br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #3! --><br \/>\nThe fused HBO Max-Discovery+ platform plans to cut the churn by offering &#8220;something for everyone in the household.&#8221; Through unifying the thousands of hours of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ed, reality, and documentary content across the two streamers, Warner Bros.
