In late September of 2020 they suffered the devastating loss of their son after Chrissy dealt with many complications surrounding the pregnancy. In a collection of photos, you\u2019ll recall the gut-wrenching statements shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> where the couple announced their best efforts weren\u2019t \u201cenough\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we\u2019ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn\u2019t enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In February 2022, though, the <em>Cravings<\/em> cookbook author announced her decision to once again undergo IVF treatments with the hopes of expanding her family. And the treatments seemed to have worked, as on Wednesday \u2014 six months after she started treatments \u2014 she announced she was expecting again in a candid post to the \u2018gram:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEvery <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointment I\u2019ve said to myself, \u2018ok if it\u2019s healthy today I\u2019ll announce\u2019 but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I\u2019m just too nervous still. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I\u2019m feeling hopeful and amazing. However, as the insider stated, they\u2019re \u201ctaking it one day at a time\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cShe is cautiously optimistic. She\u2019s very nervous, but doing her best to keep her energy positive. They are taking it one day at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We\u2019re so glad Chrissy and John are staying positive! The loss of a pregnancy is something so heartbreaking and traumatic to deal with, it\u2019s understandable they\u2019d be feeling a mix of strong emotions right now. A second source told the outlet the 36-year-old is \u201cecstatic she is expecting again\u201d and described the couple\u2019s journey as \u201can emotional rollercoaster.\u201d They elaborated<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cChrissy is ecstatic she is expecting again and is very hopeful about welcoming another baby. It\u2019s been an emotional journey and she wanted to wait to announce to her friends. It\u2019s been an emotional rollercoaster for both her and John. They are keeping positive and are so excited this is even possible for their family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So sweet!
