\n A Long Island woman who grossed out the web by posting TikToks of herself jumping into the Hudson River admits she took a dive for the attention \u2014 but she\u2019d never do it again.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it started getting likes, I was like, \u2018OK, this was what I wanted,\u2019 \u201dDonna Paysepar, 20, told NJ Advance Media<\/a> of her postings over the weekend. \u201cI just have the YOLO [You Only Live Once] mentality.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

But the Nassau County food blogger and lifeguard said her Aug. 12 romps in the infamously polluted waterway, with the Statue of Liberty in the background, were her first and last.<\/p>\n

Paysepar told the site she didn\u2019t swallow any water from the nasty drink \u2014 although she said in her Tiktok footage, \u201cThe water was really gross.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt tasted really bad. I got some of it in my mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paysepar said she only jumped and dived into the river on the spur of the moment while on the boat of a friend from Port Washington, LI.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did it for the video and for the memory,\u2019\u2019 said Paysepar, who also posted footage on Instagram, to NJ Advance. \u201cAnd \u2019cause it was also hot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her videos garnered several million views \u2014 and a slew of comments from people chastising her over the health risk.<\/p>\n

\u201cstill thinking about that girl who jumped in the hudson river in nyc bc that girl bouta test positive on all types of radiation and bacteria,\u201d one person tweeted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cIf I hear someone jumped into the Hudson River I assume it\u2019s a suicide attempt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paysepar told the site of the backlash, \u201cI thought it was funny, but some comments are a little mean.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people are sending death threats saying, \u2018I hope she dies from that water\u2019 \u2026 \u2018She\u2019s not going to be able to have kids.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

After taking so much heat, Paysepar posted footage of herself quoting the website for New York state\u2019s Department of Environmental Conservation about the river \u2014 and promised to go to the doctor \u201csoon.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
