former New Mexico ranch lists for $9M&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>New Mexico\u2019s River Ranch, aka<em>\u00a0<\/em>Estancia del Rio \u2014 which is built on 1,000 acres once owned by fashion designer (and Santa Fe native) Tom Ford \u2014 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/realestateandhomes-detail\/411-Mesa-Prieta-Rd_Youngsville_NM_87064_M94256-56737\">is on the market for $8.95 million<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>It first hit the market for $12 million in 2019. <\/p>\n<p>The four-bedroom, 4\u00bd-bath steel-and-concrete home at 411 Mesa Prieta Road in Youngsville is 4,500 square feet. <\/p>\n<p>It was built, along with additional <em>casitas<\/em>, around 2011 to 2012 \u201cto take advantage of the pink and red hills and valley of the Piedra Lumbre land grant,\u201d made famous by artist Georgia O\u2019Keeffe, notes the listing.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Ford owned the land before he bought a bigger and \u201cmore glamorous\u201d ranch, known as Cerro Pelon, which sits on 20,662 acres and is anchored by a modern concrete home with glass walls and a reflecting pool, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" when it was last asking $48 million, said broker Clayton Orrigo of Compass, who repped the buyer. That property was also used to film <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> like\u00a0\u201cSilverado<em>,\u201d <\/em>\u201cAll the Pretty Horses\u201d and\u00a0\u201cThor.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The seller of\u00a0Estancia del Rio is\u00a0Fred Haas, a musician, philanthropist and horse owner, who says he is selling because he needs to be closer to Santa Fe for his horses. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love it here and bought it for the peace and quiet, to just be in nature and as a get away.
