Discovery in a scathing segment Sunday as the parent company enacts sweeping cost-cutting measures across its businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n, who has frequently delighted in jabbing his corporate overseers on \u201cLast Week Tonight,\u201d unleashed his latest dig during a segment on the US government\u2019s failure to provide monkeypox vaccines to other countries ahead of the current outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe let the vaccine sit unused on a shelf in our reserves like an expired Chobani or a $90 million movie on HBO Max,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pQcFCFZIuZI\">Oliver said<\/a>. \u201cBy the way, hi there, new business daddy. Discovery\u2019s shocking decision to pull the plug on its pricey DC Comics film \u201cBatgirl\u201d without ever releasing it on the streaming service HBO Max or any other platform. The company also canceled a planned \u201cScooby Doo\u201d movie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not going to launch a movie until it\u2019s ready,\u201d CEO David Zaslav said on\u00a0a quarterly earnings call\u00a0last week. \u201cWe\u2019re not going to launch a movie to make a quarter and we\u2019re not going to put a movie out unless we believe in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Discovery has pursued several moves aimed at restructuring and cutting costs under Zaslav since the merger between the two companies closed earlier this year. Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to conduct sweeping layoffs across its business that will extend into the fall, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/puck.news\/zaslavs-next-move-here-come-the-layoffs\/\">Puck News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Post has reached out to Warner Bros.
