More than guts and determination, it requires deep pockets.<\/p>\n<p>A scarlet-red away jersey that the Chicago Bulls legend wore during <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a> 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals \u2014 and during his final year with the team \u2014 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sothebys.com\/en\/digital-catalogues\/invictus-part-i\">will go up for auction<\/a> in a single-lot Sotheby\u2019s sale next month, the auction house told The Post. It came from a private collector \u2014 and the bulk of Jordan\u2019s Finals jerseys are in the hands of private collectors. Jordan <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.edu\/object\/chicago-bulls-basketball-jersey-worn-michael-jordan%3Anmah_748895\">donated a white home jersey<\/a> to the Smithsonian in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan, 59, wore this soon-to-be-sold jersey June 3, 1998, during a game in Utah against the Jazz \u2014 one the Bulls lost 88 to 85. Jordan played 45 minutes in the game and helped send it into overtime. Fans of ESPN\u2019s popular 10-part \u201cThe Last Dance\u201d docu<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> from 2020 may even recognize this jersey from the 10th episode. <\/p>\n<p>Named \u201cInvictus Part 1,\u201d the online auction will be open for bidding from Sept. 6 to 14 on Sothebys.com. Preceding the sale, the jersey will go on public view for the first time in the 20-plus years since Jordan wore it on the court. It will first be exhibited in Monterey, California, between Aug. 17 to 20, then head to Sotheby\u2019s New York from Sept. 6 to 12.<\/p>\n<p>The sale also comes on the heels of the record, $9.3 million auction sale of Diego Maradona\u2019s Argentina jersey worn in the 1986 World Cup when the late star scored the \u201cHand of God\u201d goal against England. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/argentina-arg\/story\/4656663\/maradona-hand-of-god-jersey-sells-for-world-record-price-at-auction\">Sotheby\u2019s sold that in May<\/a> at an auction in London; it had an estimate of $5 million to $7.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>Though the estimate is lower for this Jordan jersey, Wachter says it still carries its weight in gold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t think of an object \u2026 that means more to a fan than this,\u201d he said. \u201cYou\u2019re really taking home a piece of history.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
