Jones cited the example of BlackRock partnering with Coinbase on Aug. 4, a move that will give users of the asset manager\u2019s institutional investment management platform Aladdin access to crypto trading, custody, prime brokerage and reporting capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to wealth managers, the Wave exec said venture capital may see \u201ca lot of growth\u201d in part due to demand for innovative investment vehicles. Wave Financial\u2019s investment and venture principal Gerard Berile added that VCs giving clients exposure to crypto without going through centralized exchanges and still dealing in large scale volume has been a \u201cnet positive for the industry as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the venture side of the house, the bear market has been somewhat of a positive thing,\u201d said Berile. \u201cOver the past year, year and a half, we\u2019ve seen valuations of a lot of different companies get incredibly high \u2014 a bit frothy, you could say. In the past six months or so, we\u2019ve seen valuations on companies come down to a bit more realistic valuations, and it\u2019s become a great time to begin allocating capital.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-08\/056a7abb-f31f-499a-988b-48be3333c7fd.jpg\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, Canada<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s encouraging from a market perspective in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> is that you think about the last cycle \u2014 a few years ago, a lot of the chatter that was surrounding the ecosystem then was: \u2018Is this the end of crypto? Is crypto dead?\u2019\u201d said Jones. \u201cFrom an institutional adoption standpoint and an institutional demand standpoint, the question now seems to be much more surrounding \u2018Is this the right time to get in?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThings are much more encouraging, even though this is clearly a time of pain. Crypto intelligence firm IntoTheBlock reported in March that the number of large transactions on the Cardano blockchain increased more than 50-fold in 2020, suggesting \u201cincreasing institutional demand.&#8221; However, United States regulators have not <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved certain crypto investment vehicles like an exchange-traded fund with direct exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) \u2014 many have said such a listing could attract new investors to the market.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
