\n President Trump on Monday joked that if Minnesota doesn\u2019t vote for him, he won\u2019t return when he runs for a third, fourth, fifth or sixth term.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I don\u2019t win it this time, I\u2019m not coming back. Never. Not for term three, four or five or six,\u201d Trump joked to a crowd in Mankato, Minn.<\/p>\n

Trump, who is limited by the Constitution to two terms, lost to Democrat Hillary Clinton by just 1.5 percent in Minnesota in 2016 and his campaign considers the state a pickup opportunity against Democratic candidate Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cI almost won last time. One more speech,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI almost won. I went to Michigan. I had a choice. I shouldn\u2019t tell you this, but we won Michigan. One more speech, I would have won. It was so close.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump said on multiple occasions that his talk of more than two terms is only a joke.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongressman can we have that extended?\u201d Trump said at a 2018 event. \u201cYou know, the last time I jokingly said that, the papers started saying, \u2018He\u2019s got despotic tendencies\u2019. No, I\u2019m not looking to do it.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
