He shared in a video on Saturday \u2013 his first post since July 1 \u2014 that his hiatus has all been for the sake of his mental health, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI have taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming. I get caught up and I spiral when I read things about me online. And ultimately it\u2019s very detrimental to my mental state, so I decided to take a step back and delete the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Related: Pete Davidson In Trauma Therapy \u2018In Large Part\u2019 Due To Kanye\u2019s Online Bullying <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s definitely nothing wrong with taking a step back from social media \u2013 especially if it\u2019s negatively impacting your mental health.<\/p>\n<p>However, Tom was not only logging on to Insta to open up about how social media has impacted his mental health issues. The <em>Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> star also made a \u201cvery, very brief return to Instagram\u201d to take a moment to share details about the organization <strong>Stem4<\/strong><em>,<\/em> which he says has helped him through difficult times. He detailed that the charity has four free apps, such as ones to help young people \u201cmanage and reduce intense emotions such as the urge to self-harm\u201d and \u201cmanage and reduce symptoms of anxiety.\u201d There are also ones that \u201chelp friends and family members support a young person\u2019s mental health\u201d and \u201cincrease motivation and lift low moods.\u201d He went on to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere is an awful stigma against mental health. And I know that asking for help and seeking help isn\u2019t something that we should be ashamed of. But it is something that is much easier said than done.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With that in mind, Tom said he hopes that \u201cif you\u2019re suffering and you need help\u201d this could be a resource for one of his followers to use. He then told everyone he was \u201cgoing to disappear from Instagram again,\u201d and thanked everyone for the support.
