The company recently <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RJScaringe\/status\/1556465499889958913\">confirmed<\/a> these cheaper motors are being winter-tested in the harsh outdoor elements of New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Rivian announced\u00a0affordable new dual-motor configurations for its EVs built in-house. Unfortunately, that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> was overshadowed by a price hike for the existing quad motor option on the market today.<\/p>\n<p>Rivian\u2019s new \u201cEnduro\u201d dual-motor should have a lot to offer, bringing the price of its EVs down while still delivering tons of speed and power. The company said the cost would be $67,500 for the R1T and $72,500 for the R1S. During the March announcement, Rivian said it expects to begin full production and release the Enduro motor to customers in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>After seeing all the news of the dual-motors testing in New Zealand, many hoped the release date would get moved up into 2023. However, it sounds like things are still on track for some time in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Rivian\/comments\/wov4kb\/dual_motor_production_to_begin_2024\/\">user on Reddit<\/a> with a Rivian R1T pre-order inquired about the dual-motor option, and a Rivian rep once again confirmed the \u201cearly 2024\u201d release date. For what it\u2019s worth, that\u2019s only the release date, but with a long pre-order and reservation list, we doubt new customers will be able to get one that early.
