Per their findings released on Friday, the Colt 45 revolver used on the set could NOT have been fired without someone pulling the trigger. So, what does Alec have to say?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Hilaria Baldwin Blasts \u2018Psycho\u2019 Rumors She\u2019s FAKING Her Pregnancy!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s not changing his story, that\u2019s for sure! While it\u2019s unclear if this conversation was recorded before or after the FBI report was published last week, Chris brought up the fact that the actor said point-blank he \u201cdidn\u2019t pull the trigger\u201d during an interview with <em>ABC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> <\/em>after the incident, in which he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe trigger wasn\u2019t pulled. I didn\u2019t pull the trigger. I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger on them, never.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Body camera footage released by the <strong>Santa Fe County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong> also showed him telling cops that he didn\u2019t touch the trigger nor did he know the weapon had live rounds in it, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI take the gun out and as the barrel clears, I turn and cock the gun and the gun goes off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With that in mind, how the hell did a real gunshot go off?! Chris wondered:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf a bullet comes out of a gun, [people] say, \u2018well someone fired it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Alec explained that while he did not intentionally fire the gun, he did fan the gun, something that was often done in \u201cold Western <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a>.\u201d He even learned more about it from the<strong> New Mexico District Attorney\u2019s Office<\/strong> after the crisis. The action can cause a bullet to fire \u201cwithout someone having to pull the trigger,\u201d he explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis came from the DA\u2019s office themselves. You\u2019re familiar with what fanning a gun is? You\u2019re familiar with that phrase? So, if you pull the hammer back and you don\u2019t lock the hammer \u2014 if you pull the hammer back pretty far. In old Western movies, you\u2019d see someone fan the hammer of the gun. The hammer didn\u2019t lock. You pulled it back to an extent where it would fire the bullet without you pulling the trigger. Without you locking the hammer.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the <strong>Buffalo Bill Center of The Wes<\/strong>t, though, the technique IS done by pulling the trigger, they state:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis action is done by holding down the trigger on a single action revolver, and then rapidly pulling back the hammer. With the trigger under pressure, the hammer will quickly drop on to the next round, and when repeated, can discharge the firearm in rapid succession.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Very different from Alec\u2019s de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion\u2026 Safe to say we\u2019re still confused!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Will Smith \u2018In A Really Good Place\u2019 Following Chris Rock Apology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em>30 Rock<\/em> star didn\u2019t waste any more time discussing his actions before calling out the person he thinks is responsible for the gut-wrenching tragedy, arguing:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe man who is the principal safety officer of the set of the film declared the gun was safe when he handed it to me. The person who was the principal safety officer of the film declared in front of the entire assemblage, \u2018This is a cold gun.\u2019 Now, why did he say that if he didn\u2019t know, if he hadn\u2019t checked? The point is all of us were told everything was cool and you can relax and we are working with a gun that is safe to rehearse with.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <em>The Boss Baby<\/em> voice actor, the employee in question also explained the process of fanning to him, he added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe explained it to me effectively exactly what could happen if you pulled a hammer back and let it go if there\u2019s a live round.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He went on to raise the one question that people should be worried about as the investigation into the tragedy continues, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere\u2019s only one question to ask here. Who put a live round in the gun? That\u2019s it. There is no other question to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s hard not to inquire about Alec\u2019s involvement in Halyna\u2019s death, considering he was the one holding the trigger and was an executive producer on the movie. While it\u2019s been difficult to wait to see if he will face any charges, Alec was positive everyone who worked on <em>Rust<\/em> knows he\u2019s innocent, he mused:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEverybody\u2019s waiting for a sheriff\u2019s report. The DA is not bound by that report. The DA can bring charges or not bring charges regardless of what that report says, but everyone must wait for that report. So while we wait ad nauseam for that report \u2013 and I have a lot of information about that which we\u2019re gonna postpone \u2018till the report comes out \u2013 while we\u2019re waiting for that, I know that every single person on the set of the film knows what happened. The people that are talking loudest about what happened on the set of the film were not on the set of the film.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After calling out a few newspapers who have consistently reported on the <em>Rust<\/em> scandal since it broke out, he insisted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe thing that they have in common is nobody was there. And everybody who was there, they know exactly what happened, they know exactly who\u2019s to blame.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Apparently, the principal safety officer! Interestingly, he hasn\u2019t always been so sure about who was to blame for the incident. He admitted to questioning whether the accident was a \u201cset-up.\u201d After a couple of months of paranoid thought, he finally gave up that theory, instead determining:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhat is likely is that someone who was responsible for one situation or one line of responsibility and the other person \u2014 a tandem of the two people \u2014 one of them or both were negligent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He\u2019s likely referring to armorer <strong>Hannah Gutierrez-Reed<\/strong> as a figure who should be held responsible, but he did not name anyone in the interview. Later in the chat, though, he did reference the armorer\u2019s problematic track record. So, he\u2019s def pointing some fingers!<\/p>\n<p>As Perezcious readers know, Santa Fe investigators have been waiting on the FBI\u2019s ballistics report before passing the case to prosecutors to determine any possible charges. Officials are also waiting for the results of Alec\u2019s phone records after he turned his cell over to police in Suffolk County in New York. There\u2019s a lot still to be uncovered in the case \u2014 but from the sounds of it, Alec won\u2019t back down until his name is cleared.
