That\u2019s not true. Any \u2018ol TV can be put outside if you\u2019re smart about it. Allow me to explain.<\/p>\n<p>I love the outdoors, and I try to spend as much time outside as possible. But I also love binging new TV shows and watching movies. These two interests don\u2019t really mix well, which gave me the idea of putting my TV outside from time to time.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Can_Any_TV_Go_Outside\"><\/span>Can Any TV Go Outside?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of TVs are not \u201coutdoor-proof.\u201d They\u2019re not waterproof or designed to withstand extreme temperature changes. However, this is only important if you plan to leave your TV outside, which is not what I\u2019m suggesting.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s much cheaper to simply move a regular TV outside when you need it and keep it inside the rest of the time. The only real requirement for this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach is to get a TV that\u2019s easy enough to carry and a place outside to put it.<\/p>\n<p>Any TV can go outside as long as you\u2019re not leaving it out there unattended all the time. You don\u2019t even need protection for it. Just bring it inside if the weather turns bad. If you\u2019re comfortable outside, your TV will likely be just fine too.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know why it took me so long to realize this. I had looked into outdoor TVs a few times, but they all seemed like overkill for my purposes. Modern TVs are much, much lighter than older TVs. A few affordable purchases to go along with your TV will greatly improve the experience.<\/p>\n<p>First, let\u2019s talk about how to get your content on the TV. You don\u2019t want to be transporting a TV and a bunch of other peripherals outside. The best device for this situation is a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Google-GA00439-US-Chromecast-3rd-Generation\/dp\/B015UKRNGS?tag=hotoge-20\">Google Chromecast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chromecasts don\u2019t have physical remotes, so that\u2019s one less thing to carry back and forth. They also can be powered over USB, which means if your TV has a USB port, you won\u2019t need to find an extra plug outside. The Chromecast and TV can be moved together as a package deal.<\/p>\n<p>If watching sports is your top priority, you may want to look into an antenna. You can get a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Mohu-Paper-thin-Reversible-Performance-MH-110583\/dp\/B004QK7HI8\/ref=sr_1_4?tag=hotoge-20\">flat-style TV antenna<\/a> to connect to the TV. Since you\u2019re outside, you\u2019ll probably get good reception for the nearby OTA channels. The plate is what attaches to the back of the TV; it slides in and out of the mating piece on the arm. I keep the mount outside all the time and just slide the TV on the arm when I need it. This is fine if you\u2019re like me and you only do it once in a while, but it can be cumbersome if you want to use the TV outside a lot.<\/p>\n<p>For leaving a TV outside all the time, you basically have two options. The cheapest solution is some sort of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Outdoor-Waterproof-Weatherproof-Outside-Screen\/dp\/B075ZRJ263\/ref=sr_1_3?tag=hotoge-20\">weatherproof cover<\/a>.
