The company\u2019s gross profit increased by 27% to $3.783 billion. But that was outweighed by operating expenses totaling $3.972 billion, for an operating loss of $189 million. The diluted net loss per share for fiscal 2022 was $2.71, narrowing from a loss of $5.18 a share in fiscal 2021.<\/p>\n<p>For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2022, the company was profitable, with EPS of 3 cents. It also expected to be profitable on a GAAP basis in fiscal 2023.<\/p>\n<p>But from the im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te reaction, it is clear that investors are fixated on Palo Alto\u2019s sales growth.<\/p>\n<p>What about its competitors? In its annual report for fiscal 2021, Palo Alto listed five \u201cmain competitors\u201d by name: Cisco Systems Inc.<br \/>\n        CSCO,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209509471\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.07%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd.<br \/>\n        CHKP,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200866016\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.54%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Fortinet Inc.,<br \/>\n        FTNT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205733290\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.21%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       Zscaler Inc.<br \/>\n        ZS,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203585803\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.77%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.<br \/>\n        CRWD,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/212513426\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.91%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n      <\/p>\n<p>FactSet lists three more \u201ckey\u201d competitors to Palo Alto within the \u201cnetwork and communications hardware\u201d space for which consensus sales estimates are available through 2024. They are included in the chart below.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_quickly_are_Palo_Altos_competitors_expected_to_grow\"><\/span>How quickly are Palo Alto\u2019s competitors expected to grow? <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>Palo Alto isn\u2019t alone in having a fiscal year that doesn\u2019t match the calendar.
