SMG played Robin\u2019s daughter in the single-season workplace comedy until 2014 \u2014 when the beloved film star heartbreakingly took his own life. It was later revealed the then-63-year-old was suffering from Lewy body dementia \u2014 the second most progressive type of dementia behind Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Pocahontas Star Irene Bedard Arrested In Ugly Ohio Incident<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the time, Sarah took a short pause from acting to process her co-star\u2019s passing. But eventually that turned into stepping back for a lot longer. Apart from voice work in cartoons and the occasional guest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance, she hasn\u2019t had a regular role in\u00a0<em>eight years<\/em>!<\/p>\n<p>Why? The tragedy of losing Robin made her realize something: she\u2019d been working her \u201centire life\u201d. In a statement to <em>People<\/em> on Monday, the now 45-year-old said her children were a big part of her deciding to take an acting hiatus as well:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019ve been working my entire life. When I had kids \u2014 and it was right after Robin passed away \u2014 there was just so much going on in my life and I just said, \u2018I need to take a break.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sarah explained that although her part as the late actor\u2019s TV daughter was short-lived, he made a huge impact on her and inspired her to be there for her children \u2014 <strong>Charlotte Grace<\/strong>, now 12, and <strong>Rocky James<\/strong>, now 9:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI need to be here for these early formative years of my kids\u2019 life. I needed that break to be the parent that I wanted to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So sweet! And a great lesson to take away from her TV dad. Robin\u2019s spirit impacted everyone he came into contact with. He was and still is such a light in the world\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Sarah admitted to missing her career at times during her hiatus. She wasn\u2019t going to just take any role, though \u2014 she wanted to find something that \u201cspeaks\u201d to her and her audience:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI started to really miss it. But it\u2019s also finding the right opportunity, something that speaks to you that also speaks to your audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And it seems the <em>I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> actress found what she was looking for. She\u2019s going to star in and produce the upcoming <strong>Paramount+<\/strong> drama <em>Wolf Pack<\/em> \u2014 and although the nights are long, she\u2019s enjoying herself while filming the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s about working with people that I really love working with, where I look forward to spending time with the people. I want everyone to have a good time because look, acting\u2019s fun. We\u2019re creative, and yeah, sometimes the nights are really long, but what we get to do is really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We\u2019re so glad Sarah is finding her way back into what she loves on her own terms.
