Nicole Malliotakis and Democratic former Rep. Max Rose will square off in November for the right to represent the Staten Island-based 11th Congressional District \u2014 a replay of the 2020 matchup in which Malliotakis unseated Rose. <\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Republican mayoral nominee had an easy primary night, defeating challenger John Matland by 57 percentage points following a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonCampbellNY\/status\/1561904433570750466?s=20&amp;t=LcVnMhCzjI9Xmw8ST4oEbg\">Monday night endorsement<\/a> by former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/mialliotakis-rose-si-rematch-008.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Rose lost the 2020 election to Malliotakis by 6.3 percentage points after flipping the district in 2018.\" class=\"wp-image-23587165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/mialliotakis-rose-si-rematch-008.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/mialliotakis-rose-si-rematch-008.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/mialliotakis-rose-si-rematch-008.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Rose won 75% of the vote in beating democratic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a>ist Brittany Ramos DeBarros.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Rose had almost as easy a time on Tuesday, winning 75% of the vote in beating democratic socialist Brittany Ramos DeBarros.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>DeBarros, an Army veteran like Rose, was also been backed by the Working Families Party, but it\u2019s unclear whether she will run on its ballot line this November, which would likely split the vote of the political left and make life easier for Malliotakis.<\/p>\n<p>The GOP incumbent was a top target of Albany Democrats, who <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved new congressional lines that would have added super-blue Park Slope to the Brooklyn part of the 11th district. <\/p>\n<p>Malliotakis was saved by the courts, who struck down the so-called \u201cHochulmander\u201d and forced new districts to be drawn.<\/p>\n<p>A special master eventually drew lines creating a new version of district that gave Trump 53.8% of the vote in the 2020 presidential election, compared to 46.2% for President Biden, according to an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/newyork.redistrictingandyou.org\/?districtType=cd&amp;propA=current_2012&amp;propB=congress_specialmastercorrected_20220604&amp;selected=-74.156,40.598#%26map=8.45\/40.747\/-74.158\">analysis by CUNY Mapping Service.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rose lost the 2020 election to Malliotakis by 6.3 percentage points after flipping the district in 2018 as part of a Democratic wave that won them control of the House of Representatives for the first time in eight years.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
