\n The Air Force is probing whether a drone flew close to Air Force One on Sunday evening as President Trump returned to the White House from New Jersey, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Reporters aboard Air Force One for the trip<\/a> tweeted about the incident shortly before landing at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, the Wall Street Journal reported.<\/p>\n

Sebastian Smith, a reporter for Agence France-Presse, wrote that \u201cwhile descending, we flew right over a small object, remarkably close to the president\u2019s plane. Resembled a drone though I\u2019m no expert.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another reporter, Jennifer Jacobs from Bloomberg, tweeted multiple people \u201csaw what app<\/a>eared to be a drone just below the plane.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White House referred questions to the Pentagon, which said it was aware of the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe matter is under review,\u201d said a statement from the Air Force unit which oversees Air Force One operations at Joint Base Andrews. \u201cThe 89th Airlift Wing\u2019s C-32A aircraft landed safely without incident.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump spent the weekend at his golf resort in Bedminister, New Jersey after visiting his sick brother, Robert Trump, in the hospital in Manhattan. Robert died Saturday at age 71.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
