It\u2019s now possible to generate photorealistic images right on your PC, without using external services like Midjourney or DALL-E 2.<\/p>\n<p>Stability AI is a tech startup developing the \u201cStable Diffusion\u201d AI model, which is a complex algorithm trained on images from the internet. Following a test version available to researchers, the company has officially released the Stable Diffusion model, which can be used to create images from text prompts. Unlike Midjourney and other models\/generators, Stable Diffusion aims to create photorealistic images first and foremost \u2014 something that has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/08\/24\/deepfakes-for-all-uncensored-ai-art-model-prompts-ethics-questions\/\">already led to controversy over \u201cdeepfake\u201d content<\/a>. However, it can also be configured to mimic the style of a given artist.<\/p>\n<p>Stable Diffusion is unique because it can run with a typical graphics card, instead of using remote (and expensive) servers to generate images. Stability AI recommends using NVIDIA graphics cards right now, but full support for AMD and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le Silicon is in the works.<\/p>\n<p>Stable Diffusion has a \u2018Safety Classifier\u2019 mode that attempts to block offensive images from being generated, but because the model is open-source, it can be turned off when running on a PC. Web-based generators often prevent people from using prompts that mention certain words or phrases, to prevent creating images that could be used to deceive or harm others. For better or worse, Stable Diffusion can create more types of images than is possible with most other services.<\/p>\n<p>The Stable Diffusion model is designed to be used with an accompanying generator, which is the actual interface used for typing prompts and changing other options. The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/lstein\/stable-diffusion\">Stable Diffusion Dream Script<\/a> is one generator that can run locally on a computer, either through a command-line interface or a local web server. There\u2019s also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.getalpaca.io\/\">an in-development plugin<\/a> for generating images from inside Photoshop, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/beta.dreamstudio.ai\/\">web-based versions<\/a> are already popping up.
