While their origins may be somewhat different in the comics than in the MCU, this team is notorious for punching above their weight class\u2026 not to mention the enchanted weapons they wield!<br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #1! --><!-- No winning ad found for zone: below first paragraph! --><!-- No winning ad found for zone: mid intro! --><br \/>\nIn the panels of Marvel Comics, the Wrecking Crew was first introduced on the final page of <em>Defenders<\/em> #17, \u201cPower Play\u201d by Len Wein, Sal Buscema, Dan Green, Glynis Wein, and A. Kawecki, published in November 1974. The destructive team comprises the Wrecker, Thunderball, Pile-Driver, and Bulldozer.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><\/p>\n<div class=\"adsninja-ad-zone\" id=\"adsninja-ad-zone-MW-Reg-Org\">\n<div id=\"dynamically-injected-refresh-ad-zone-MW-Reg-Org\" class=\"dynamically-injected-refresh-ad-zone\">\n<div class=\"ad-current\">\n<div id=\"ad-zone-container-MW-Reg-Org\" class=\"ad-zone-container ad-zone-container-content-character-count-repeatable-1\" data-no-fill-collapsable=\"false\"><strong class=\"ad-zone-advertising-tag\">MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Defenders<\/em> #18 by Wein, Buscema, Green, Wein, and Dave Hunt explained that the Wrecking Crew got their superpowers in the comics from a complex set of circumstances. These included those that arose in the Wrecker\u2019s first <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance in <em>Thor <\/em>#148 (1968), \u201cLet There Be\u2026 Chaos!\u201d by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Vince Colletta, and Sam Rosen. In this issue, Dirk Garthwaite is a normal human calling himself \u201cthe Wrecker.\u201d He is dressed in a costume and armed only with a crowbar and is committing robberies in New York City.<br \/>\n <!-- No winning ad found for zone: word count #2! --><br \/>\nWhen he comes upon Loki\u2019s apartment, Loki is summoning the Queen of the Norns. The arrival of the Wrecker causes Loki to flee, and the Wrecker puts on his abandoned helmet. The Queen of the Norns subsequently arrives and confuses the Wrecker for Loki (it\u2019s the hat). As a result, the evil power she owes Loki is instead transferred to the Wrecker.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\nIn <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marvel.com\/comics\/issue\/20323\/defenders_1972_17\"><em>Defenders <\/em>#17<\/a>, the Wrecker explains that he was subsequently arrested and incarcerated alongside the other three members of the Wrecking Crew. After escaping and being reunited with his crowbar, Garthwaite and the other three members hold the weapon as it is struck by lightning. According to the dialogue in \u201cThe People vs. Emil Blonsky,\u201d the four antagonists simply lifted the enchanted Asgardian tools from a construction site.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\nThe live-action incarnation of the team features Nick Gomez as Wrecker and Justin Eaton as Thunderball. Although the team quickly exited stage left in the third episode of <em>She-Hulk<\/em>, it\u2019s impossible to ignore their long history in Marvel Comics (not to mention a cliffhanger phone call conducted by the Wrecking Crew before the episode\u2019s end).
