Currently a project lead with the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974947&amp;s=974929\">Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care<\/a> and team lead with the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974949&amp;s=974929\">Afro Women and Youth Foundation<\/a>, Adefioye specializes in anti-racism and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) policies, and working with racialized, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) children, families and communities.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_did_Seneca_help_you_build_the_foundation_for_your_career\"><\/span><strong>How did <\/strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.senecacollege.ca\/home.html\"><strong>Seneca<\/strong><\/a><strong> help you build the foundation for your career?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cMy professors were very supportive, always willing to take extra time to explain anything that was unclear. Most of my classmates were mature students and mothers, so we all supported each other. I\u2019m most grateful for the work placement experiences because I got to practice the theories I learned in the classroom. By the time I completed all my courses and placements, I felt empowered, confident and ready to take my place in the field of ECE as a leader and advocate.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Joseph_Osei_Bonsu\"><\/span><strong>Joseph Osei Bonsu<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Digital_Media_Arts_2006_Digital_Animation_2007\"><\/span><strong>Digital Media Arts (2006), Digital Animation (2007)<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-sizes=\"auto\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1238751 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.macleans.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MAC-SENECA-JOSEPH-1210-D.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1067\"\/><br \/>\nPassion is a key component to success, and freelance artist, illustrator and graphic designer <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974953&amp;s=974929\">Joseph Osei Bonsu<\/a> can attest to this. The talented self-described \u201cartrepreneur\u201d grew up loving comic books and animated <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TV series<\/a>. His work has been featured by various high-profile clients, including the CBC, CIBC and the City of Toronto. Bonsu is the co-founder of diverse superhero brand <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974955&amp;s=974929\">Heroes of the World<\/a> and illustrated <em>Race With Me<\/em>, a children\u2019s book co-authored by Olympic champion sprinter Andr\u00e9 De Grasse.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_did_Seneca_help_you_hone_the_skills_you_needed_to_thrive\"><\/span><strong>How did <\/strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.senecacollege.ca\/home.html\"><strong>Seneca<\/strong><\/a><strong> help you hone the skills you needed to thrive?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cMy time at Seneca showed me there are other aspects to art beyond illustration. Collaborating with like-minded students and learning from instructors who have worked in the industry was refreshing. Seeing how to put together portfolios and storyboard art prepped me for the projects I work on today. Yeboah is embracing her mission to help organizations implement meaningful change. A public policy expert and equity advocate with extensive volunteer work on her resume, Yeboah is also the co-founder and executive director of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974959&amp;s=974929\">Canadian Black Policy Network<\/a> and the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sr.studiostack.com\/c\/link?l=974961&amp;s=974929\">Toronto Black Policy Conference<\/a>. In my second year at Seneca, that really began to shift. One professor, in particular, encouraged me to get out of my own way and break out of my shell. The more I sat at the front, the more I would be called upon, the more I would be called on, the more practice I got. As a result, I discovered and developed the skill of public speaking. At the time I didn\u2019t know just how vital this would be in fulfilling my purpose, dreams and aspirations.
