scribble your words, shapes, or equations, you can use Microsoft Office\u2019s ink features to convert those items. With Ink to Text, Ink to Shape, and Ink to Math, you can turn your doodles into useable elements.<\/p>\n<p>Another handy ink feature is Ink Replay. With it, you can replay the drawings from start to finish. This is convenient for documents, spreadsheets, or slides full of handwritten markups that you want to decipher.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Microsoft_Offices_Ink_Features\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_0\">Microsoft Office\u2019s Ink Features<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can use Ink to Shape, Ink to Math, and Ink Replay in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PowerPoint also offers an extra tool called Ink to Text. Each feature works slightly differently than another and differently in PowerPoint versus Word and Excel.<\/p>\n<p>The ink features are <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/convert-ink-to-shapes-in-office-8ca00db0-4342-4bde-bbb2-92d6cb5e2e45\">available in versions of Microsoft Office<\/a> including 2016 and later along with Microsoft 365 on Windows and Mac. The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/replay-your-ink-strokes-in-office-fa4f044f-810b-43fe-b774-da04a0b37496\">Ink Replay<\/a> feature, however, is only available to Microsoft 365 subscribers.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_Ink_to_Shape\"><\/span>Use Ink to Shape<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With the Ink to Shape tool, you can <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/399495\/how-to-enable-or-disable-and-use-touch-mode-in-word\/\">draw a shape, connector line, or\u00a0arrow\u00a0and convert it to Office\u2019s graphical equivalent for a nice and neat appearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Enable (or Disable) and Use Touch Mode in Word<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Word_and_Excel\"><\/span>Word and Excel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Head to your document or spreadsheet and go to the Draw tab. You should immediately see it converted to Office\u2019s equivalent.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PowerPoint\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_3\">PowerPoint<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Unlike Word and Excel, you do not select the Ink to Shape button before you draw your shape. Instead, draw the shape first.<\/p>\n<p>Next, use either the Select or Lasso tool to select the shape.
