Source:\u00a0fdacs.gov<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Stressing on some of the go-to payment methods often being recommended by the scammers, the announcement read:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cPayment Type: If you are asked to pay with a gift card or cryptocurrency, it\u2019s a scam.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to asking Florida residents to refrain from making crypto payments, the FDACS reiterated that no government officials would ask for personal information, such as their <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social<\/a> Security or credit card numbers, adding that \u201cOnly scammers will require one of those kinds of payment, and once you send the money, you probably won\u2019t get it back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>letter mentioned the impossibility of tracking down crypto funds from hackers, numerous corporations, including Velodrome and Curve Finance, have successfully recovered stolen funds \u2014 thanks to the immutable nature of blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>US lawmakers call on Mark Zuckerberg to address &#8216;breeding ground&#8217; for crypto scams: Report<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 5, United States congressman Brad Sherman \u2014 a well-known crypto skeptic \u2014 acknowledged the rapid growth of the crypto ecosystem, claiming that banning cryptocurrencies was no longer an option.<\/p>\n<p>Sherman stated that political donations and crypto lobbying make blanket banning cryptocurrencies impossible, adding that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t ban it at the beginning because we didn\u2019t realize it was important, and we didn\u2019t ban it now because there\u2019s too much money and power behind it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Most lawmakers, including Sherman, favor implementing strict regulatory policies on crypto.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
