You need the Philips Hue Hub, for example, to link together all your Philips Hue smart lights and accessories for neat effects like syncing your lights to your PC or using the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Philips-Hue-Splitter-Colored-Required\/dp\/B086ZJLCTW?tag=hotoge-20\">Hue Sync Box<\/a> for colorful real-time ambient lighting while watching TV.<\/p>\n<p>In other cases, hubs aren\u2019t eco-system-restricted and serve to link together multiple products from multiple vendors like the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Aeotec-SmartThings-Gateway-Compatible-Assistant\/dp\/B08TWDNQ5Q\/?tag=hotoge-20\">Aeotec Smart Home SmartThings Hub<\/a>. In fact, Thread border routers fulfill the hub function.<\/p>\n<p>The key difference, and one that is both consumer-friendly and bodes well for the widespread adoption of the Matter standard, is that the Thread border routers are built into a myriad of devices that people are already buying on their own merits\u2014and not because they\u2019re actively shopping for a Matter hub.<\/p>\n<p>Companies like Amazon, Google, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le, and Nanoleaf are actively building Matter smart home hubs, or Matter controllers, into various products like smart home speakers, Wi-Fi routers, and smart lights.
