Over the course of the season, Eddie found himself being falsely accused of causing the deaths of Vecna\u2019s victims and was ultimately forced to take a stand with Eleven, Mike and the rest of Hawkins\u2019 youngsters to bring down the antagonist. However, fans were soon left heartbroken when Eddie met his maker while saving Dustin from a flock of Demo-bats. While the fifth season is promising to be an epic conclusion to the <em>Stranger Things<\/em> story, series creators the Duffer Brothers have already set fan expectations of getting another mega-length season. They previously explained:<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n&#8220;We thought Season 4 was going to be eight [episodes], and they were going to be regular length. So if you had interviewed us before four, that&#8217;s what I would&#8217;ve said. I think we&#8217;re aiming for eight again. We don&#8217;t want it to be 13 hours. We&#8217;re aiming for more like 10 hours or something. I think it&#8217;s going to be longer than Season 1 because we just have so much to wrap up, but I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s going to be as long as Season 4.&#8221;\n <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With the Duffer Brothers having only just started work on scripting for season 5 of <em>Stranger Things<\/em>, it is going to be probably a couple of years before the show\u2019s finale finally makes it to Netflix, by which time we could know where the planned spin-off from the series will be heading.
