A source told\u00a0<em>Page Six<\/em> on Wednesday the drinking has become a real problem for the former daytime diva amid her legal battles:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s gotten worse. She went from wine to straight up vodka.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Insiders tell the outlet Wendy\u2019s substance abuse issues returned as her health continued to decline. The facility she entered has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Wendy \u2018Left To Die\u2019 By Ex-Financial Adviser Amid Wells Fargo Battle?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fans will recall Wendy formerly sought help in a sober house in 2019. Unfortunately we heard that was about the <em>only<\/em> time the TV star was sober, with a source telling\u00a0<em>The Sun<\/em> after her hospitalization last year:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWendy drinks every day and the only time she was sober was when she was at the sober house. Her staffers are worried but no one is ever going to speak up because they don\u2019t want to lose their jobs. She\u2019s an alcoholic. A bad one. She doesn\u2019t need a talk show, she needs help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It sounds like after a year of that, she\u2019s finally accepted she has a problem and is getting help. This is of course amid her ongoing battle with\u00a0her former talk show\u2019s production company <strong>Debmar-Mercury<\/strong>.\u00a0<em>Page Six<\/em>\u2018s source tells them the company \u201crefused\u201d to get her help even though she had a problem for some time. The insider said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThey turned their backs on her. They had too much control over someone so vulnerable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s in line with what Wendy\u2019s ex \u2014 and former producer \u2014\u00a0<strong>Kevin Hunter<\/strong> has been alleging about Debmar-Mercury. He said in July they knew all about his wife\u2019s issues but didn\u2019t want to lose the revenue when she was off work!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDebmar would not support Wendy\u2019s recovery efforts with the family. They would not sign off on anything that would\u2019ve helped her recovery efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Thankfully if this report is accurate and Wendy herself is seeking help this time\u2026 well, maybe she has a real shot at overcoming her substance abuse issues. The positive of her not having a TV show now means there\u2019s no responsibilities keeping her from rehab.
