While there were originally some plans in place for new movie releases from Lucasfilm, it seems that, for the im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te future the last hope has been wiped from Disney\u2019s upcoming release calendar. The Patty Jenkins-directed <strong><em>Rogue Squadron<\/em><\/strong> was the only movie on Lucasfilm\u2019s release schedule, even though the movie itself seemed to have already been removed from their production slate last year, so while the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> is not a huge surprise, it does seem like a final nail in the<em> Rogue Squadron<\/em> coffin.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><\/p>\n<div class=\"adsninja-ad-zone\" id=\"adsninja-ad-zone-MW-Reg-Org\">\n<div id=\"dynamically-injected-refresh-ad-zone-MW-Reg-Org\" class=\"dynamically-injected-refresh-ad-zone\">\n<div class=\"ad-current\">\n<div id=\"ad-zone-container-MW-Reg-Org\" class=\"ad-zone-container ad-zone-container-content-character-count-repeatable-1\" data-no-fill-collapsable=\"false\"><strong class=\"ad-zone-advertising-tag\">MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p> <!-- No winning ad found for zone: below first paragraph! --><!-- No winning ad found for zone: mid intro! --><br \/>\nDisney has unveiled the release dates for a number of non-<em>Star Wars<\/em> projects, such as <em>Snow White<\/em> being scheduled for a March 22, 2024 release, to be followed by <em>Inside Out 2<\/em> on June 14, 2024 and <em>Mufasa: The Lion King<\/em> on July 5, 2024. However, while there are many movies coming in the next two years from Disney, there are now no <em>Star Wars<\/em> projects set for theatrical release anytime in the near future.<br \/>\n<!-- No repeatable ad for zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\n<em>Rogue Squadron<\/em> was originally announced back in 2020 and would have been the first theatrical <em>Star Wars <\/em>project to be released since the <em>Skywalker Saga <\/em>closed out with <em>The Rise of Skywalker<\/em>. Cracks started to show in the movie\u2019s production when there had been no casting details or movement on the film, and in November 2021 it was revealed the movie was being delayed due to scheduling conflicts with Jenkins other projects. While much of the <em>Star Wars<\/em> franchise has concentrated on Luke Skywalker in one way or another, the future of <em>Star Wars<\/em> movies is about going beyond the <em>Skywalker Saga<\/em>, which is possibly why <em>Rogue Squadron<\/em> no longer figures in the plans. That\u2019s very much the space we\u2019re concentrating on.\u201d\n <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While <em>Star Wars<\/em> will continue to be a dominant part of Disney+, with a new season of <em>The Mandalorian<\/em> coming soon along with new series such as <em>Andor<\/em> and <em>The Acolyte<\/em>, there are also plans for <em>The Last Jedi\u2019<\/em>s Rian Johnson to return to the franchise with a new trilogy of movies, as well as a new <em>Star Wars<\/em> project being penned and directed by <em>Thor: Love and Thunder<\/em>\u2019s Taika Waititi.
