Both run on the next-gen Ada Lovelace architecture and boast massive improvements over their predecessors. Additionally, NVIDIA revealed a new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> modding tool and announced a free ray-tracing upgrade for\u00a0<em>Portal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>At the crux of these 40-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> GPUs is NVIDIA\u2019s new\u00a0Ada Lovelace architecture. Named after Ada Lovelace, the first person to write <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ada_Lovelace\">a computer algorithm<\/a>\u00a0(before computers even existed), this architecture enables advanced protocols like\u00a0FP8 and DLSS 3.0.<\/p>\n<p>The new DLSS 3.0 system will raise eyebrows, as it can artificially increase a game\u2019s frame rate by \u00a0producing new frames on the fly. Previous versions of DLSS focused more on resolution by adding new pixels, so this is an impressive development.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"fj245xMr-BM\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/fj245xMr-BM\/hqdefault.jpg');\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>According to NVIDIA, the flagship RTX 4090 ($1,599) uses the same amount of power as the 3080 Ti while delivering between two and four times the speed. It packs an eye-popping\u00a024GB of GDDR6X memory. And its\u00a02.23GHz base clock can boost up to 2.52GHz.<\/p>\n<p>The cheaper\u00a0RTX 4080 ($899) is a bit more modest, with 12GB of GDDR6X memory and a 2.31GHz base clock speed. Still, it promises more than twice the speed of its predecessor, and an upgraded 16GB RTX 4080 ($1,199) gives customers the best of both worlds.<\/p>\n<p>As is tradition, NVIDIA will offer Founder\u2019s Edition versions of these cards. The Founder\u2019s Edition design gets a few upgrades this year, including a new cooling system and\u00a0a 23-phase power supply. More notably, these Founder\u2019s Edition GPUs use the\u00a0PCIe Gen-5 16-pin connector\u2014you may need to connect these GPUs with three 8-pin power connectors using an included adapter. (If you plan to overclock but need to use the adapter, NVIDIA suggests utilizing four 8-pin power connectors.)<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"AZHBl5yWqJk\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/AZHBl5yWqJk\/hqdefault.jpg');\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>One of the more exciting parts of the 40-series GPU reveal is NVIDIA\u2019s new <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Vg52-HZhrFc\">RTX Remix tool<\/a>. It\u2019s an interesting platform that lets you mod existing games for RTX (or simply scan and export game assets). You can isolate environments within RTX Remix, giving you a real-time platform for remastering or modifying your favorite game. (NVIDIA says that RTX mods will work with a game\u2019s existing mods, by the way.)<\/p>\n<p>To show the power of RTX Remix, NVIDIA created\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/geforce\/rtx-remix\/https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/geforce\/rtx-remix\/\"><em>Portal with RTX<\/em><\/a>. It\u2019s a mod that will be available to all\u00a0<em>Portal<\/em> owners (on Steam) by the end of November. The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/AZHBl5yWqJk\">video demonstrating this mod<\/a> looks very impressive\u2014it certainly seems like a great way to \u201cremaster\u201d older games.<\/p>\n<p>Founder\u2019s Editions of the RTX 40-series GPUs go on sale October 12th.
