A teaser visual and more staff information were also released.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>Takuya Saitou<\/strong> (<em>Outlaw Star<\/em>, <em>Macross 0<\/em>) is designing the characters for the<strong> WOWOW<\/strong> original and is also one of its three chief animation directors, while<strong> Kenji Kawai<\/strong> (<em>Ghost in the Shell<\/em>) is composing the music. The other two chief animation directors are <strong>Kazuchika Kise<\/strong> (<em>xxxHOLIC<\/em> and <em>Blood-C<\/em> character designer) and<strong> Toshihisa Kaiya<\/strong> (<em>Ascendance of a Oshii<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Ghost in the Shell\u00a0<\/em>director,\u00a0<em>Urusei Yatsura\u00a0<\/em>Ep 1-Ep 129 chief director) as <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> composer and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts Nishimura and Oshii previously worked together on shows like the 2021 vampire comedy <em>Vlad Love <\/em>and 1984\u2019s<em>\u00a0Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer<\/em> movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>Hikari no Ou<\/em>\u00a0was announced back in November 2020. The show will be broadcast via the WOWOW channel and is produced by\u00a0<strong>Signal.MD<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>Hikari no Ou <\/em>is based on the fantasy novels by <strong>Rieko Hinata<\/strong>, which began in 2018 and ended in 2020 with four volumes.\u00a0<strong>Akihiro Yamada<\/strong> was the illustrator.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The story takes place after mankind\u2019s final war, with the land covered by a black forest where fiery creatures roam. The setting also includes a pathogen that causes human bodies to ignite. With the creatures being the source of the only fire that humans can safely handle, sickle-armed fire hunters (Hikari) venture into the forests to seek these beings. Among the hunters, there is a talk of a thousand-year comet, and of how the one to hunt it will be called the King of the Fire Hunters (Hikari no Ou).
