Simone), beginning with her unhappy thirty-sixth birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-135212\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bounce TV revealed more about the upcoming series in a press release.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bounce, the popular broadcast and multi-platform entertainment network serving African Americans, will premiere its newest original series, \u201cFinding Happy,\u201d on <b>Saturday, September 24<\/b> with the first two episodes airing back-to-back starting at 8 p.m. EDT.<\/p>\n<p>Centering around the Black female experience through the eyes of protagonist Yaz Carter, \u201cFinding Happy\u201d is a dramedy about the unfulfilled life of Yaz, beginning with her unhappy thirty-sixth birthday. The 10-episode debut season features Yaz\u2019s loving-but-complicated family, her stagnant career in the evolving landscape of radio and a merry-go-round of unrequited love while dating in the love desert of Atlanta. \u201cFinding Happy\u201d reveals over time that true happiness can only be found within.<\/p>\n<p>B. Simone (MTV\u2019s \u201cWild \u2018n Out\u201d) stars as Yaz along with Kim Coles (\u201cLiving Single\u201d), Marketta Patrice (\u201cBlack Jesus\u201d), Angela Gibbs (\u201cHacks\u201d), Stevie Baggs (\u201cRuthless\u201d) and Mike Merrill (\u201cA La Carte\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Kendra Jo serves as the showrunner, writer and co-creator of \u201cFinding Happy\u201d along with Yasmine Coleman and Angela Wells.
