He then agreed to meet with LL COOL J, who initially brought his \u201cdusty\u201d comments to light on Instagram, if the Rock The Bells OG is willing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m down to talk to LL [COOL J] and I\u2019m gonna talk to \u2014T.I. reached out, too,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to have an official talk. But it\u2019s his birthday, so he didn\u2019t want to do too much today.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit\u201c300\u201d\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit\u201c300\u201d\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nWhen Charlamagne Tha God brought up Akademiks\u2019 abrasive tone, the former <em>Everyday Struggle<\/em> host agreed his words were harder to digest when delivered in that manner, but he maintained even if he spoke to LL COOL J in a more respectful way, his \u201cpoints wouldn\u2019t change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThe tone changes, even if I was \u2018wrong\u2019 about any point, I still stood on it. As a broadcaster, I\u2019ve been learning that a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"DJ Akademiks On &quot;Dusty&quot; Rappers, Reginae Carter, Meek Mill, 6ix9ine, Contributions To Culture + More\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Pl5yHgxKj4Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ak also brought up the recent incident with Reginae Carter\u2019s mother and Lil Wayne\u2018s ex-wife\u00a0Toya Johnson, who called him out saying Carter preferred \u201chood n-ggas\u201d when discussing the Young Money rapper\u2019s daughter and her\u00a0new boyfriend Ar\u2019mon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis recent thing with Toya, I did a tone check before,\u201d he said. \u201cI knew it was going to get lost in it. This is a newer media. I livestream discussing Hip Hop topics and I\u2019m drinking, but I\u2019m trying to entertain people [\u2026] My clips are either super hilarious or \u2018Damn, he\u2019s disrespectful.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\" inserted=\"shortcode\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit\u201c400\u201d\" class=\"adUnits\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script>\n                        if(isMobile){\n                            window.catalyst.cmd.push(\"loadAds\", [[\"incontent\", \"contentUnit\u201c400\u201d\", \"section_post_inarticle\"]]);\n                        }\n                    <\/script><br \/>\nAfter also revealing he was going to have a talk with T.I. who was bothered by Akademiks\u2019 rant\u00a0about Carter, he added:\u00a0 \u201cI have spirited debates. I really love Hip Hop. It\u2019s given me everything. I love this culture. But I\u2019m passionate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several pillars of Hip Hop culture didn\u2019t see it that way. Instead, they found Akademiks\u2019 initial comments to be horribly disrespectful. As Scorpio of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five told <em>HipHopDX<\/em>:\u00a0\u201cWhen I heard that thing with Akademiks, it hurt me to my core.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast thing that most of us have is our respect and he was trying to use his platform to have people not respect us or not to look at us with value, like we never brought nothing to this industry when this whole industry was built on our backs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Akademiks later addressed the number of veteran Hip Hop artists who responded to his rant and said his words were taken out of context.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ain\u2019t gonna lie, a lot of the guys \u2014 who by the way, I looked up to most of them who responded \u2014\u00a095 percent of the people who responded to me in terms of OGs, they weren\u2019t broke and dusty,\u201d he said. \u201cThere were five percent that were though, but 95 percent of them, these are the success stories. But you omitted the context. I was talking about passing on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>.
