rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/resources\/blog\/white-supremacist-music-prevalent-spotify-while-platform-largely-declines-act\">new report<\/a> by the Anti-Defamation League \u2014 an international, non-governmental Jewish organization that specializes in civil rights law and is largely focused on fighting antisemitism \u2014 finds that Spotify has been slow to act on concerns of rampant white supremacist content on the platform raised by a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/resources\/blog\/facing-music-spotifys-rules-sound-cloudy\">previous ADL study<\/a> published in February. The earlier investigation stemmed from Spotify\u2019s controversial refusal to cut ties with Joe Rogan and his hugely successful podcast, <i>The Joe Rogan Experience<\/i>, after an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/01\/spotify-joe-rogan-doctors-open-letter-1234909702\/\">open letter to the company<\/a> signed by 270 medical professionals accused him of spreading COVID misinformation and referred to him as a \u201cmenace to public health,\u201d prompting a plethora of artists to remove their music from the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>. The follow-up report, released last Thursday (September 22), was <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/spotify-white-supremacist-bands-hate-music\/\">picked up by Billboard<\/a> this past Monday (September 26).<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            After February\u2019s revelations, Spotify pledged to implement \u201ca much more explicit anti-extremism policy.\u201d But according to the ADL\u2019s updated findings, Spotify is still \u201cnot only allowing the racism and incitement of white supremacist music, it is actively promoting that content on its own playlists.\u201d The report goes on to list 40 \u201cwhite supremacist artists with a presence\u201d on the platform, split across several subgenres of racist, antisemitic, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and otherwise hateful content. These include acts such as Ironmensch, Elessar and OBNX, categorized within the vaporwave subgenre \u201cfashwave;\u201d Rock Against Communism groups Kushfrost, Pugilato NSHC, and 13 Knots; National <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social<\/a>ist Black Metal bands \u00dcbermensch, Wiking 1940, and Mayhem; and the openly fascist harstyle producer DJ Dark Matter.
