\n Add another to the list of former NFL players who think Giants head coach Joe Judge\u2019s old-school coaching style is bananas.<\/p>\n

App<\/a>earing on Fox Sports on Tuesday, former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho blasted the way Judge has been running Giants practices since training camps began last month. Calling his tactics \u201cdumb\u201d and \u201cimbecilic,\u201d Acho said Judge\u2019s way is usually used on kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiants fans, on behalf of everyone intelligent everywhere, I apologize for your 2-14 record this season,\u201d said Acho, who was on the Giants\u2019 practice squad in 2013. \u201cI have to go ahead and apologize. And it\u2019s not your fault, Giants fans. It\u2019s not your fault that you have dedicated yourself to an organization that has hired a coach that is instilling imbecilic practices.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure if imbecilic is a word, but the practices that Joe Judge is instilling are so dumb that imbecilic is the only word that will fit. That is the only word that will fit the crime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Acho went on to claim that most professional athletes are \u201cintrinsically motivated,\u201d but that if they\u2019re not then they\u2019re extrinsically motivated for \u201cmoney, fame, females.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of those things work,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat doesn\u2019t work is fear-based motivation: \u2018Hey, if y\u2019all mess up, y\u2019all have to bear crawl. If y\u2019all mess up, y\u2019all running wind sprints.\u2019 Those are tactics to use on kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe, a three-time Super Bowl winner, took to Twitter<\/a> Monday to voice his opinion on the matter after reports that Judge was making his players run laps for making mistakes ran rampant.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t going to end well,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever does,\u201d said former Patriots tight end Ben Watson, who played under Judge in New England last season before announcing his second retirement in March. \u201cBe. Your. Self. There is only one [Bill Belichick].\u201d<\/p>\n

The Giants had their second in-pads practice Tuesday and Judge not only coached star running back Saquon Barkley hard in front of everyone, he also held a head-on, goal-line tackling drill in which cornerback Corey Ballentine was roughed up. Ballentine ended up finishing practice and Judge stood by his coaching style and use of that drill.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
